Amorgos Mouros Beach
Amorgos Mouros Beach is one of the most impressive and beautiful beaches of Amorgos. it is located in the southeastern part of the island, just 12 km from the town and very close to Kamari village.
The beach is surrounded by towering cliffs which in combination with the crystal waters create a wild beauty that makes the beach popular destination for visitors. On the coast you will come across fine gray sand with pebbles, while the sea water is deep and crystal with aquamarine tint. Along the rocks on the right side of the beach there are two underwater caves which can be reached by swimming and are worth exploring with the appropriate equipment.
The beach is not organized with umbrellas and sun beds but there is a tavern right above the sea serving cold drinks and snacks.
Access to the beach by car is easy and is done through the provincial country road - Kato Meria. Driving from Chora to Arkesini turn to Berry (no relevant sign Kamari). At the point where the road ends, where you find the tavern is where you will park your car. From this point you have to start the descent to the beach. it is 10-minute walk path to reach the beach.
