Although Paros is not considered to be such a big island, you must try a lot to trace Paros Delion (or Deleon), the temple which was dedicated at the God Delios Apollon. Delion is built upon a hill in an imaginary straight line to the sacred island of Delos. In order to reach there, you pass from the beach Livadia, afterwards you pass from Parikia and at the crossroad instead of taking the direction to the beaches, you turn right towards Delos.

You must be focused to the signs as the road is uphill and at a certain point the asphalt is changed to cement and gravel. As soon as you get to your destination you will be rewarded by the panoramic magnificent view over the Aegean Sea while this is a unique opportunity to admire the mainland at the northern part of Paros island. But even if you have arrived there, you have one more difficult test to pass. You have to cross by foot the narrow uphill path which is enclosed by stone walls.

At the top of the hill you will admire the ruins of the temple of Delios Apollon, the columns and the architectural segments which were part of the enclosure of the sanctuary and traces of another temple dedicated to his sister, the Goddess Artemis. At the same location it was also built a small edifice for banquets. Finally, archaeological excavations have brought to light traces of a cemetery of the Cycladic times around the 3rd millennium BC.
